Often times infertility, reproductive/preconception and/or pregnancy loss can be stressful, traumatizing and devastating. While this journey can also be special and rewarding, it can be filled with anxiety, loneliness and hopelessness. While on my journey, I had several unanswered questions and unsuccessful cycles that consumed my thoughts and often left a somber void in my heart. I felt defeated, alone, isolated and out of options. One day I reached out for help and support because I could not travel on this road alone any longer. I found substantial relief in being able to process my grief/loss. The validation I received helped me overcome some of the barriers that were standing in the way of me reaching the next set of goals.
These experiences have reframed my professional goals and led me to this path of being able to provide mental health support, encouragement and validation to others who are trying to create their family. I am passionate about wanting to help and empower other individuals and couples who are going through the same struggles I have been through.
I provide 60-minute psychotherapy sessions via telephone or telehealth platform. I come from the client centered approach and believe in meeting my clients where they are to begin their journey. Psychotherapy can help improve emotional, mental and physical well-being, develop coping and calming strategies, build up resiliency, promote change and self-determination. I work with individuals, couples and/or families who may experience any of the following: anxiety, depression, complex grief/loss, trauma, stress, women’s health issues and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).
Some treatment approaches I use include:
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), solution focused, grief counseling, mindfulness, trauma informed care, strengths based and family systems. Whether you have a strong desire to become a mother, father, to foster and/or adopt, use of donor embryos, use a gestational carrier, or are working through pregnancy fears and/or losses, my hope for you is to feel empowered by having a professional support system to help you make the necessary changes you need in order to fulfill your dreams of creating your family and living a healthy life.
